How the 2026 PhilHealth premium is computed
One rate, one floor, one ceiling.
Clamp the salary
The premium base is your monthly basic salary, but never below ₱10,000 and never above ₱100,000. Salaries outside that range use the floor or ceiling.
Apply 5%
Multiply the base by 5% — the final rate under the Universal Health Care Act. That yields a premium between ₱500 and ₱5,000.
Split (or don't)
Employed members split it 2.5% / 2.5% with their employer. Self-employed, voluntary, and OFW direct contributors pay the whole 5% themselves.
PhilHealth Contribution Table 2026
Sample monthly premiums at the 5% rate. The floor and ceiling do the rounding.

| ₱15,000 | 375.00 | 375.00 | 750.00 |
| ₱20,000 | 500.00 | 500.00 | 1,000.00 |
| ₱25,000 | 625.00 | 625.00 | 1,250.00 |
| ₱30,000 | 750.00 | 750.00 | 1,500.00 |
| ₱40,000 | 1,000.00 | 1,000.00 | 2,000.00 |
| ₱50,000 | 1,250.00 | 1,250.00 | 2,500.00 |
| ₱75,000 | 1,875.00 | 1,875.00 | 3,750.00 |
| ₱100,000 and above (ceiling) | 2,500.00 | 2,500.00 | 5,000.00 |
Direct contributors (self-employed, voluntary, OFW) pay the Total column themselves. Premiums fund inpatient and outpatient benefit packages under the Universal Health Care Act — all Filipinos are automatically members, but paying keeps your records and claims smooth.
Frequently asked questions
Straight answers to the questions people actually search for.
How much is the PhilHealth contribution in 2026?
The PhilHealth premium rate in 2026 is 5% of the monthly basic salary, computed on an income floor of ₱10,000 and a ceiling of ₱100,000. Employed members split it equally — 2.5% from the employee and 2.5% from the employer. Premiums range from ₱500 to ₱5,000 per month.
What is the minimum and maximum PhilHealth premium?
The minimum is ₱500 per month (5% of the ₱10,000 income floor) and the maximum is ₱5,000 per month (5% of the ₱100,000 ceiling). For employed members, the employee's share of the maximum is ₱2,500.
How much do self-employed and voluntary members pay PhilHealth?
Direct contributors who are self-employed, voluntary, or OFW members pay the full 5% themselves, based on their declared monthly income — between ₱500 and ₱5,000 per month, with no employer counterpart.
Will the PhilHealth premium increase after 2026?
No increase is scheduled. 5% is the final premium rate under the Universal Health Care Act (RA 11223), whose contribution schedule ended its yearly increases at 5%. Any change would require new legislation.
Who pays the PhilHealth premium of a kasambahay?
If the kasambahay earns below ₱5,000 a month, the household employer shoulders the full premium. At ₱5,000 or above, the premium is split equally, like any employed member.
